The AMARA condo is located 25 minutes from Cancun's international airport, in a very quiet and traditional area known as Puerto Juarez, where you will find the best fresh fish restaurants in town. Just a 3 minute walk away is the Ultramar ferry station to cross to Isla Mujeres. Here you will find souvenir stores, money exchange office, car rental agency, minimarket, starbucks, among others.
The best option is to rent a car. In that case, there are many companies at the airport and downtown that offer that service. Otherwise, you always have the option of requesting a cab, which security guards can request. The prices are very reasonable in the center of the city but, if you go to the hotel zone, they increase. The third option is to take public transportation. There is a bus stop right in front of the condo entrance. This route starts here and will take you to the hotel zone.
